Tokoname TEAPOT with Poem Script

$135.00

The poem inscription adds a whimsical touch to a uniquely-shaped teapot

Description

This Tokoname teapot is a unique offering. Ever since the Heian period (794-1185), the artisans of Tokoname have been renowned for their ceramics. High-fired, red-clay stoneware with ash-glazing is their signature style.

The Tokoname tradition continues with this elegant, smoothly-finished and thin-walled teapot. Lovely to hold and to use, it will bring out the best in your sencha, gyokuro and genmaicha.

A clay strainer is built in at the point where the body meets the spout, so that tea leaves do not enter your cup. It’s as practical as it is good-looking!
