This Tokoname teapot is a unique offering. Ever since the Heian period (794-1185), the artisans of Tokoname have been renowned for their ceramics. High-fired, red-clay stoneware with ash-glazing is their signature style.
A clay strainer is built in where the body meets the spout, so that tea leaves do not enter your cup. It’s as practical as it is good-looking.
